Covenant Membership

Covenant church membership is a promise made by Christians to God and to each other, summarizing how they agree to live according to biblical standards, supporting and holding one another accountable in faith, unity, and service within the local church community.

Why Membership?

First, membership identifies us as a follower of Christ. We come together with other believers as the Body of Christ. Many members, but one body (Ephesians 2:19, Romans 12:5).

Second, membership offers a spiritual community, preventing isolation by fostering accountability and providing a supportive space for personal development. Mutual encouragement safeguards against regression and the allure of sin's deception (Galatians 6:1-2; Ephesians 5:21).

Third, membership gives us a place to discover and use our spiritual gifts in ministry. It helps us develop and fortify our faith so God can use us to build His church (1 Cor. 12:4-27).

Fourth, God’s plan A for fulfilling the Great Commission is through His church. He desires for all to be an active part of a local church (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Make a Profession of Faith: Express your belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, acknowledging Him as the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again.

Be Obedient in Believer's Baptism: Upon making a profession of faith, participate in believer's baptism as a public declaration of your faith in Christ and your commitment to following Him.

Meet with a Pastor: Schedule a meeting with one of our pastors to discuss your faith journey, answer any questions you may have about church membership, and explore how you can get involved in the church community.

Join a New Member Orientation Class: Attend one of our new member orientation classes held on Sundays during the community group hour. These classes provide valuable information about the church's beliefs, mission, vision, and opportunities for service, as well as a chance to connect with other new members and leaders in the church.
